2006 Walk + Bike to School Coordinator Training

The Oregon Walk + Bike to School Committee is sponsoring a free Walk+Bike to School coordinator training session at videoconference locations throughout Oregon on Tuesday, April 25, from 5-9pm. The training will focus on organizing walk and bike to school and safe routes to school events and programs.
The live training presentation will take place at the Portland Building, 800 NE Oregon Street, Portland, OR.
 
The Oregon Department of Education will host the videoconference training at locations throughout Oregon. * Locations and other details to follow *
 
Participants will brainstorm problems and solutions to getting kids walking and biking to school, network with local bike and pedestrian activists from their region, and learn about existing walking and biking programs and funding for kids throughout Oregon.  They will also receive a Walk + Bike to School Day Playbook, Walk + Bike to School Guidebook and other materials to help organize events and programs, and to help make presentations in their communities.

International and Oregon Walk + Bike to School Day takes place on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, as part of international Walk to School Week, October 2-6, 2006.
