Few cultural icons have done more for the sport of cycling than Lance Armstrong. Bike shops report surging sales of racing bikes, more interest in local races, and the like, each year during the Tour de France.
Lance (along with Congressman Blumenauer) was named as one of the 25 people who most influenced bicycling over the past 150 years.
While he’s not in this year’s Tour de France, Lance received a standing ovation when he appeared on The Daily Show this week.
