The Mid-Valley Bicycle Club’s support for Bicycle Safety Education began over 6 years ago at one of our first pilot programs at Franklin Elementary School in Corvallis. This year, Mid-Valley Bicycle Club is hosting the 21st Northwest Tandem Rally. The location for the annual tandem bicycling event changes every year, rotating throughout the Northwest. Traditionally, the rally takes place on either the Memorial Day or July 4th weekend. This is the fourth time since 1986 that the MVBC has hosted this family-oriented bicycling event which showcases the Mid-Willamette Valley for visitors and tourists. Proceeds from the event will help fund BTA’s Bicycle Safety Education program in Corvallis and Albany to teach youngsters how to ride safely on the street. NW Tandem Rally will run from June 30th-July 3rd. If you’ve got a pedal-powered ride for two, this could be the event for you. More information can be found at the Mid Valley Bicycle Club website.
