I didn’t want you to miss out on the following two-wheeled media remainders:
1. Tomorrow (6/7): Portland Bike Show / First Thursday
Join bike-friendly Commissioner Sam Adams and plenty of bike friends at tomorrow’s Portland Bike Show at City Hall.
From 5 – 8 PM, you’ll be able to rub shoulders with elected officials, Portland’s stellar framebuilders, and bike artists. Come for the good company or come for the bikes. City Hall is at 1221 SW Fourth Street in downtown Portland.
2. Your meter reader bikes to work
Did you know that Portland’s Water Bureau has a blog? It’s pretty interesting, too, including this feature on bureau employees who bike to work.
3. Low Car Diet
I’m not sure Dr. Atkins has approved this diet, but we know it works wonders — and our Fearless Leader Evan Manvel is taking the challenge.
20 people (including some you may know) have agreed to hand over the car keys for the month of July and get around by bike, foot, bus, train and Flexcar. Find out more, and keep track throughout the month as they write about their experiences. (Evan promised a blog post or two on the topic…)
