Oregon Walk + Bike to School Day approaches!

If you have kids in an Oregon school, you might already know about Walk + Bike to School Day, coming up on October 4th. This international event gets 4 million kids around the world to use their feets or their bikes to get to school. For about 10% of American kids this might be business as usual, but for the rest it’s something special, and an opportunity for families to try adding activity and neighborliness to their kids’ daily schedules.

And there’s free stuff involved: water bottles, blinky lights, reflectors, helmets, backpacks, and other goodies to help get kids equipped for the trip. Here’s Robert Burchett doing some freelance volunteer messengering for the BTA.
