Hooray!
Sheila Lyons has been named as the new ODOT Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Manager. While there’s no way to fill outgoing Michael Ronkin’s shoes, Sheila is a great pick and wiill bring her own strengths to the job.
She has been working with Michael at ODOT’s Bike/Ped program for the last couple years, and served on the BTA’s Board for two years (I believe 2000-02). Sheila was also a critical leader in Corvallis’ Getting There group, a group that advocates for sensible transportation options.
While we’re sorry to see Michael go (Dec 31), we welcome Sheila!
