Growing up I had the luck of traveling to Nantucket Island (off of Cape Cod, MA) most summers. The island is magical — removed from the everyday stresses of the world, full of cranberry bogs, lighthouses, beaches, and old houses. It’s also covered with bike paths, and people biking to and from beaches and the various towns.
If you want to spend a week in Nantucket this year (in September), walk along the bluffs, enjoy the grey-shingled houses, the flour mill, the whaling museum, the bogs and the fishing, come bid on a week’s stay at Alice.
