HB 3314 has passed the Judiciary Committee and soon the full Oregon House of Representatives will vote on it .
HB 3314 protects vulnerable roadway users by increasing penalties for vehicles operators that kill and seriously injure bicyclists, walkers, and others.

Although not a bicylist myself, my children regularly ride bikes to work as one way to help towards a greener earth and also for exercise. I urge a yes vote on HB 3314 to make automobile drivers more aware of the importance of caution and to instruch that the road is to be shared with cyclists and walkers.
