Latest on Vulnerable Users Bill HB3314-A

BTA Policy Director Scott Bricker and Board Member John Bloss were in the halls of the State Capitol in Salem yesterday working on behalf of BTA’s legislative program–which at the moment is heavily focused on passage of the “Vulnerable Users” bill in the Senate. Discussions held with elected officials, staffers and agency representatives yesterday were productive. Overall, the prospects still look good for this important piece of legislation. A vote on the Senate floor could happen as early as Saturday.

A BTA support memo was circulated to Senate offices yesterday as part of our end of session push. All BTA members, particularly those outside the Portland-metro area, are encouraged to email their Senators and ask for their vote on HB 3314-A.

…gotta love that “halo effect” in the photo. Here’s to hoping that the good guys prevail on vulnerable users bill.
