The Night Ride: 1,100 riders, 2,200 TireFlies, 900 donuts, 100 lbs of popcorn, 3 Girl Scouts

The 2007 Night Ride last Saturday was a hit, with 1,100 registered riders getting lit (with glow in the dark necklaces and TireFlies, I mean) and biking a beautiful course through NE and N Portland, by the Columbia Slough, and back to Union Station for a late night donut-feast.

If you missed it…you missed out! This year’s family-friendly ride boasted a Filmed by Bike bike-in-movie stop (with popcorn), and a dance-party stop (with too much candy, oorrrhhhhggggg…..), and fantastic costumes. See the costume contest winners, above – girl scouts bearing cookies.

The Night Ride is a benefit for the BTA. Thanks to everyone who contributed to our cause, and also to the volunteers who made it all possible!
