This just in from the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services:
BES will begin a four-week sewer project tomorrow, Wednesday, August 8, on the Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway at SW 30th Avenue.
The work will reduce traffic on Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway to only one lane in each direction on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Normal traffic lanes will be restored after work hours.
The separate bicycle lane in one direction will be lost during work hours, and bikes will have to share the road with motor vehicles through a work zone about 300 feet long. When work starts, the separate westbound bike lane will be lost; later, the eastbound bike lane will be lost and the westbound bike lane restored.
Left turns from the highway to SW 30th Avenue and SW Dosch Road will not be allowed during work hours. For more information call Bob Cynkar of the Bureau of Environmental Services at 503-823-7898.
