The BTA strongly supports the Safe, Sound and Green Streets program being advanced by Commissioner Sam Adams. The package includes over $54 million for safety improvements throughout the City including over 100 miles of Bike Boulevards. If tonight’s meeting is in your neighborhood, we encourage you to attend and voice your support for the package.
Just do it! Bike safety is highly important anywhere, but Portland is a city full of avid bicyclers on the streets at all hours. PNCA just lost two students this fall due to bike/truck accidents. Anything that can be done to improve safety for bicyclists is most appreciated.
