Welcome Scott Bricker, new BTA Executive Director

After a long process that began in early August, the BTA Board of Directors is very happy to announce that the most-qualified candidate for the position of Executive Director is our own Scott Bricker, who has been Interim ED since late July. The ED Search Committee received applications from strong candidates across the country and Canada, and interviewed all of the most highly-qualified. The results of the national search and interview process confirmed our confidence in Scott’s abilities to lead the BTA effectively. We’re very pleased that he has accepted the position of Executive Director, and know that his experience in building relationships with the community, our stakeholders, and government bodies ensures that the BTA will continue to be a strong advocate for opening minds and roads to bicycling.

Great news for the BTA and for bicyclists in Oregon! Having worked with Scott for 6 years, I’ve seen how Scott’s passion, smarts, strategic approach, and ability to form productive partnerships has had concrete results for bikers. I’m confident that the BTA will continue to grow under his leadership. Congrats, Scott!
