There is another way. It’s called bicycling.
Every time gas prices go up my family gets more committed to bicycling. I’ve always bicycled to work, but today I ride my 12 year-old stepdaughter to school and my wife walks and rides our 16 month old in the trailer to run errands.
Our household budget – which with three kids is constrained – has slashed transportation costs and we’re healthier to boot. All while fuel skyrockets.
So dust off that old bike and hop on. One word of advice for new riders – think of the streets that you drive on… and don’t ride there!
