Bike Safety season is here, now volunteer already!

Spring is in the air my friends, and what better way to enjoy spring than atop your favorite bicycle. Better yet volunteering with said bike at one of Safer Routes to School’s famously fun community rides. These rides are the culmination of the Bicycle Safety curriculum taught in a hand full of Portland Public elementary and middle schools by our crack team of bike safety instructors.Instructors=Awesome Don’t take my word for it folks just read these testimonials: “Its SUPER fun” says Stephanie and “This class is so wonderful, it really hits a home run with the kids both in the fun category and with useful knowledge that directly translates to the streets.” says Kevin. If you have any interest and some free time on Fridays from now until June 13th, we have Community rides every Friday, this week’s rides are from Sunnyside Environmental School, Metzger elementary, and Rigler Elementary. Please contact Tricia Satterlee at tricia@bta4bikes.org, 502-226-0676 x25 or Joel Holly at joelh@bta4bikes.org, 503-226-0676 x29. Thanks from the BTA and from the kids!safe rider!
