You can see it in Portland everyday: Over Cornell, on Williams, around Willamette Boulevard, through Ladds and down the Springwater, more and more Portlanders are using their bikes to get to work, to school, the grocery store and the coffee shop.
Now, with gasoline costing well over $4.00 a gallon and no price relief in sight, there’s more economic incentives than ever before to get out of a car and onto a bike.
But there’s more than people’s pocketbooks that’s making Portland the national leader in commuting by bike.
