The bike and pedestrian bridge across the Clackamas River between Gladstone and Oregon City has been closed since it was damaged by an arsonist in 2006.
Bicyclists in the area have eagerly awaited repairs by Clackamas County and the reopening of the bridge. Repairs began last month and the bridge should be open again by the end of this year.
Stop by Cross Park (in Gladstone, between Clackamas Blvd and the river) on Thursday, August 14th, between 6 and 7 pm for ice cream, a visit with your Clackamas County Commissioners, project information and to submit name suggestions for the new bridge.
