Get ready for the 2008 Bike Commute Challenge!

It’s almost time to register for the 2008 Bike Commute Challenge, the BTA’s friendly workplace-to-workplace competition to see who can get more employees biking to work.

But don’t register just yet – this September’s program will be supported by a brand new website, launching August 18th – so don’t bother getting your team up to date on the old website.

In the meantime, DO get ready in other ways:

–Help your coworkers find a bike, the office bike parking, and a nice route to work (in the Portland area try this bike-trip planner).

–Attend a commute workshop or ask us about leading one at your workplace.

–Plan incentives, social events or promotions for bike commuters at your workplace.

For more information on the Bike Commute Challenge contact Stephanie Noll at stephanie@bta4bikes.org or 503-226-0676 x23.

I am not sure how to register for the City of Portland, Office of Management and Finance as I did last year. I am not a captain of a team, but we do have a few bikers that might want to join the challenge. I did not see a place for BCC people to register their office.
    Thanks for any assistance.
