We’re getting ready for Tour de Fat this Saturday but we still need 12 more volunteers. Can you help?
Tour de Fat is an annual BTA and PUMP benefit, put on by New Belgium Brewing’s travelling-circus-and-musical-revue department. It’s tons of fun, raises thousands of dollars for our advocacy work, and showcases great acts from around the west coast. Check out photos from last year on BikePortland.org.
We need volunteer help with setting up, tearing down, pouring beer, selling tickets and more! If you’re available on Saturday, check out these shifts and email Scott L if you can take one of them. (Also, volunteers get a nice tshirt and a free beer from us as thanks.)
Setup (9:30-11:30 am)
Wristbands & token sales (9:30-1:00 pm)
Beer pouring (11:00-2:30 pm)*
Wristbands & token sales (12:15-4:30 pm)
Beer pouring (1:45-5:00 pm)*
Tear down (5:00-7:00 pm)
*Our beer pouring volunteers are either OLCC- or TIPS-certified, or sit through a training this Wednesday evening (food and drinks on us) at the Ace Hotel in preparation.
Yes!
I’m one of your TIPS-certified beer-pourers, and I’m looking forward to volunteering again this year.
Only snag–I’d have to work the early shift, since I have to be at a meeting in SE by 1pm. Can I work from 11:00am to 12:30pm?

I am an early riser anyway, so the setup shift from 9.30 to 11.30am would fit my schedule.
Cheers,
