Drink a Pint for the BTA!

On Monday, September 22, the BTA will be the beneficiary of all food and drink sales at McMenamins Market Street Pub from 5pm until closing.

We’ll make a Bike Commute Challenge event of it, but anyone can come join us! It’s a fun social event and a chance for BTA board and staff to check in with members. Plus it raises a nice pot of money for our important bike advocacy work.

McMenamins Market Street Pub is located at 1526 SW 10th Ave in Portland, near the campus of PSU.

See you there!

Can I forward this invite to the lady who told me I shouldn’t be promoting the Bicycle Commute Challenge unless I emphasize the dangers of bicycle commuting? ;-)

The dangers are in driving. Yesterday I chose to drive alone, and was road raged on the way home by some Intel guy who couldn’t wait his turn to get on the freeway onramp. I wish I would have riden my bike, so much less scary, and safer.

Hey I think we should do this again on a weekend if possible. I showed up after I got off of work and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Really had a good time. I hadn’t had a beer in a long time but I splurged for a good cause! Go BTA! Just want to say thanks to the folks at McMenamins for hosting this event. All of us cyclists really appreciate your support!( we also appreciate your excellent food and beer)
