10-9 Messenger Appreciation Day

10-9
Bike Messengering can be a thankless job but everyone who is a bike messenger is thankful to have their job. It’s a great job, you get to ride your bike all day. What could be better? Well, the pay, the weather, maybe some medical insurance. But, hey, we’re not complaining because we get to ride our bikes all day long.
10-9 Day across the country for messengers is a day to give thanks and to receive thanks. To remember our fallen friends and to celebrate a job we love. It’s Messenger Appreciation Day. We are the movers and doers that keep the local economies from collapsing, any more than they already have that is. When you need a bank deposit, court filing or bid done and it’s 10 minutes to 5:00, who do you call? The messenger. Take a moment to Thank him or her today.

PS Bike Messengers get FREE coffee and donuts at the BTA with complimentary bike parking tomorrow!

Don’t forget too that bike messengers can reduce your companies carbon footprint. Consider a locally owned and operated messenger/delivery service for your local and regional deliveries. Some, like Magpie, are even carbon neutral, Blue Works Certified and nationally recognized and emulated.

Thanks to the boys and girls that make it happen everyday.
