This Fall season of Bike Safety Education myself and the three other Safer Routes Ambassadors have taught our peerless Bike Safety Education curriculum to almost six hundred of Portland’s fourth and fifth graders. These are the our fine city’s newest crop of road users primed to share the road and empowered to safely transport themselves on their bikes.

Lest you wonder if your efforts matter, they do. My anecdote re.s two daughters who moved here a few years ago. The older one will walk or max, only. The younger one went through BikeSafetyEducation at Chapman & it changed her outlook. She’s more accepting and positive about cycling to her destinations. Thanks very much for doing the program.
