Staff Transition at the BTA

In the coming months you will hear about top-level transition at the BTA. Last Friday, Kristie Perry, our Development Director, posted a farewell blog entry. She is leaving the BTA after three years of service to work for State Senator Diane Rosenbaum. We will miss her and wish her all the best for the future

This change will also provide Gretchen Horton, our current Finance Manager to step into new challenges and refocus on her passion for development work. Starting in January, Gretchen will transition to interim Development Manager and support both the development team and reformed finance team. The BTA will permanently fill the Development and Communications Director job by March 2009.

Thus, today I am excited to post the job opening for a Finance Director Position at the BTA. As the BTA has grown, our need for high-level financial and business management has become a priority. This newly created job will be an opportunity for the BTA fully fill this priority need.

Thank you staff, board and the cycling community for supporting the BTA. I am personally committed to ensuring that our team is successful, accountable, and passionate in advancing the BTA and cycling in Oregon.
