This video was taken on Walk and Bike to School Day at Capitol Hill Elementary in Southwest Portland. Capitol Hill is one of 25 City o Portland, Office of Transportation Safer Routes to School schools. Capitol Hill has a great history of very successful Walk and Bike to School events. with over 200 children, parents and teachers walking and biking to school on the day and on monthly themed event days that celebrate all things walking and biking.
Thanks to the generous support from the Market of Choice, the staging area, parents can confidently drop their children off to walk to school with the group. This walking school bus walking school bus has been going now for 3 years.
