Today I found a love note for River View Cemetery on my desk, written longhand by BTA member Florence Dezeix.
River View Cemetery is one of 34 nominees for the Alice B. Toeclips Awards. The Cemetery was profiled 
on our blog last week. And while the awardees aren’t actually decided by a vote (an appointed committee makes the tough decision) it’s a delight to hear just how much Florence loves River View Cemetery!
“I have been commuting to work for five years through River View Cemetery,” Florence writes. “What nice people! They smile and wave when they see me on my bike…the staff is very careful when they pass you in their cars…one of them told me ‘We like to have you (riders)’ – pause, he was looking for words – ‘It puts some life here.’”
