If you haven’t made it on one of the Safer Routes to School team’s family walks with Metro councilors, your last chance is coming up on Sunday. Rex Burkholder, David Bragdon, and Robert Liberty have already touched on Alberta Street, Council Crest, and the Brooklyn railyards, respectively. On Sunday, Carlotta Collette will take families for a 2.5 mile walk through Milwaukie’s Ardenwald neighborhood and the through the Tideman-Johnson Natural Area. As District 2 councilor, Carlotta is Metro’s elected representative for Gladstone, Johnson City, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Rivergrove and West Linn and a portion of Southwest Portland, but families from all over the region are encouraged to attend.
