September approaches and that means the return of the BTA’s Bike Commute Challenge: the month-long competition between workplaces to see who can bike to work more. Is you workplace ready to compete? Let your coworkers know that Challenge registration for 2009 will open August 17.
Meanwhile, it’s a great time to schedule one of the BTA’s Bike Commuting 101 workshops at your workplace for August or September. The BTA’s workshops are a great way to introduce coworkers new to bike commuting to the information they need to feel safe and confident biking to work. Call Stephanie at 503-226-0676 x23 or email stephanie[at]bta4bikes[dot]org to schedule one of our hour-long workshops.
In addition to presenting free workshops in the Portland Metro area through a Metro grant, BTA staff will also be visiting Southern and Eastern Oregon this August and September.
