[Updated 8/28/09 with new information.]
The Portland Police Bureau has reported that early Wednesday morning, around 2:00 am, a 52-year old man was killed in a crash on NE 122nd Ave. and Fremont (though Mercury reporters visiting the scene posit that it may in fact have happened at the freeway onramp). The vehicle involved in the crash, they say, had left the scene by the time officers arrived.

The man’s name was James Neal Wagner and he was a resident of Portland.
