Biking home late after a long day at work, and lo and behold, what did I discover? A new bike lane–so new the striping isn’t even in place yet! While I was stopped in awe, who rolled down the hill? A dear friend. Two of the things I best love about bike commuting: discovering new happenings along my route and running into friends along the way.

I’m so happy about this new lane! Ever since I switched up my commute and started climbing this hill every day after work, I’ve been wishing there was a bike lane – there’s plenty of room and also plenty of impatient drivers on their way home!
