This team’s captain says, “this team is pure inspiration. Our agency is located off of 52nd and Columbia Blvd. In order to bike into work everyday, my team members face a very challenging commute route around NE 42nd and Columbia. From serious road debris, heavy traffic, fast traveling vehicles (including many Semi’s and such vehicles), splashes of dirty water when it is raining, to drivers that are often ignorant of pedestrians and bicyclists on the road. Yet, my team keeps on riding! This challenge has united us, brought in new riders from staff members to even some community members.
So yeah, my team rocks and inspires me to keep on riding.”

Native American Youth and Family Center Team ROCK ON!!
Way to go, you guys! At Oregon Food Bank, we’re off of Columbia, too, and it’s a nightmare! Be safe and bike on!
Really the inspiration is Amanda, our Team Captain Extraordinaire! Amanda is a bicycle organizer for sure – keeping us motivated, bringing more riders into our ranks and supporting us to keep the pedal on.
Thank you Amanda; ride on Team NAYA!
(and props to our Columbia neighbors down at OFB!)

Great job! That is a scary area to ride but so important to show the cars and other potential bikers it can and should be done! Keep it up.
I appreciate y’all for reppin’ NAYA on the bike to work challenge; yet another way of making the invisible visible.
Good job, NAYA team. That is a tough commute!
My helmet is off to the Native American Youth and Family Center Team. The traffic is not as heavy down south in Grants Pass. So my helmet is off to you for the hazardous duty. Be careful out there.
Great job! Way to find an additional alternative to and from work.
Please be careful. Helmets-Helmets-Helmets.
