Valdez started bike commuting this summer and discovered the Eastside Esplanade on his commute home.

    I think that “More anonymous” must have been thinking of apple *empanada*, which apparently Taco Bell sells. A quick web search shows it contains an alarming amount of fat and sugar:

    You could make empanadas at home with a mono-saturate fat like olive or canola oil brushed on filo pastry, and get the added bonus of baked apple and cinnamon wafting through the house. And you could eat fresh apples from this year’s harvest. Why not make a pie while you are at it? Mmmm, pie.
