A Convenient Cycle mobile bike shop on the East Bank Esplanade in Portland
This September is a great time to be a bike commuter. Besides the prize drawings and bike shop discounts available to cyclists through the Bike Commute Challenge website, a number of other businesses are sharing special offers with cyclists.
This Thursday, September 16, Burgerville is officially launching their Bike Friendly Service with an event at their Hawthorne Burgerville location from 2-4 PM. Riders who cycle-thru will receive a free blackberry smoothie or shake with a purchase of equal or greater value.

The Empress, a new food cart at SE 11th and Clay in Portland, is catering to bike commuters with a “Half Off Any Wrap” coupon. They also have a bike pump, bike stand, and some simple tools if you need to do some maintenance while you wait.
Or park your bike in the on-street corral on Portland’s N. Williams bike route at the corner of Killingsworth and enjoy a cup of coffee at Nossa Familia’s new cafe. Nossa Familia has provided pounds of delicious coffee and cafe gift certificates as part of the Bike Commute Challenge weekly prize drawings.

Sweetpea Baking Company (1205 SE Stark) is offering .50 cent coffee from 7am-9am through the month of September, for anyone who is riding their bike to work.
A Convenient Cycle’s mobile bike shop has found a morning location. We will be located at 11th and Clay in the same food court location as the Empress from 7am – 10am. Stop on by for breakfast and a tune. A Convenient Cycle also has a shop location in the Activspace building at 833 SE Main st Tue – sat 10am – 8pm.
