City of Vancouver Transportation Services’ staff will present information regarding improvements planned for 39th Street at the upcoming Lincoln Neighborhood Association Meeting. The City has secured almost $620,000 through grants and other funding sources for enhancements along 39th Street, from Lincoln Avenue to P Street. Transportation staff will discuss the proposed signing, striping, street-scaping improvements and parking restrictions which are intended to slow traffic and enhance safety along 39th Street.
In other news, Clark County is seeking two people to join it’s Bicycle Advisory Committee. If you or someone you know is interested in improving bicycling comfort and safety in Vancouver and Clark County, this is a great way to contribute. Committee members must be 16 years old or older. Direct any questions, or just send a resume and a letter of interest, to Ejaz Khan (ejaz.khan[at]clark[dot]wa[dot]gov).
