Dear Friends,
I am thrilled to lend my wholehearted support to the BTA’s Build It! campaign, which is focused on getting the new Portland Bicycle Plan adopted by the Portland City Council on Feb. 4th, and then built.
The plan envisions a future for Portland in which it is easy and convenient for people to make short trips by bike.
Here is the Build It website: http://www.portlandbikenetwork.org
Here are two ways you can help get the Portland Bicycle Plan built. Can you take time to do at least one of them?
1. If you run a business or are a member of an association, express support for the Portland Bicycle Plan as that business or association to the Portland City Council.
City Council’s contact information is here:
Sam Adams 503.823.4120 samadams@ci.portland.or.us
Amanda Fritz 503.823.3008 amanda@ci.portland.or.us
Nick Fish 503.823.3589 nick@ci.portland.or.us
Randy Leonard 503.823.4682 randy@ci.portland.or.us
Dan Saltzman 503.823.4151 dan@ci.portland.or.us
2. As an individual, support the Plan by taking a photo with the Build It sign – whatever kind of photo you like – and spreading it via Facebook, Twitter or Flicker. You can also attend the rally and contact City Council.

I really care about this campaign. The Portland Bicycle Plan is probably the best bike plan in the country, but it’s only great if it is built!
Thanks very much,
