Last week Don “Peacerider” Ross stopped by the BTA office. Ross was born in Portland but a lot has happened in his life since then. He now lives in Alaska and is in the middle of an ambitious bike tour that just passed through Portland.
His hope for the bike tour is to get people to wake up to environmental issues and embrace peace. On his stop in Portland, he was interviewed on KBOO, met up with local activists, and even went on a Shift ride. He’s in Eugene now and plans to keep heading south to California. By the time the next Earth Day rolls around, he hopes to inspire bike rides in communities all over the country.
Read more about his trip on his website and if you have a place to stay in parts south of Portland, email him!
