Washington State could join Oregon as national leaders in creating a Complete Streets program if the state legislature passes a bill sponsored by Representative Jim Moeller of Vancouver.
Transportation Choices Coalition explains: Complete Streets are roadways designed to efficiently and safely move people using all appropriate modes of transportation, including bicyclists, pedestrians, motorists, and public transportation users. Rather than apply a single pre-determined design to every corridor, planners work together with communities to develop streetscapes that are appropriate for the community context.

How you can support the bill
1. Vancouver residents: call or email Jim Moeller with your support.
2. All Washington residents: go here to find out if your representative is a member of the House Committee on Transportation. Then ask them to support the Complete Streets bill.

Note that AUTOs hate this street and avoid it at all costs. Hardly accomodating ALL users. As a transit rider and biker I like it
Complete street, first time to hear the word.
But it’s so important to reach the complete street, everyone will more convenient than before, so good luck to the bill.
