Broadway Bridge Will Maintain Bike Ramp; Ped Access During Streetcar Construction

The Broadway Bridge will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic beginning next Tuesday, July 6th and is expected to reopen for use on September 3rd, due to streetcar construction. The south sidewalk will remain open on the bridge during the closure to allow for pedestrian and bicycle access.


Illustrate active transportation as a solution to childhood obesity with an infographic

In partnership with GOOD, Let’s Move is sponsoring a nationwide contest to create an infographic depicting the childhood obesity epidemic in America. The infographic should illustrate the current state of children’s health in the U.S and some method of combating our youngest expanding waistlines. Submissions are due July 6, 2010.


Tour de St Honoré Draws 100+ Bicyclists to Celebrate Bikes and Support the BTA

A lovely sunny Sunday morning welcomed the first-annual Tour de St Honoré, hosted by the boulangerie et patisserie in Lake Oswego.


Weak Representation From Bicyclists at SW Lombard Bike Lane Hearing

The Beaverton City Council held a public hearing on the striping of bicycle lanes and parking revisions on Lombard Avenue between 1st Street and Denney Road. Opposition, complaints, and concerns from residents far outnumbered supportive comments from bicyclists.
