Embrace the dark side and support the BTA at the 2010 Night Ride

What’s better than costumes, disco parties, doughnuts, karaoke, and touring Portland on two wheels?

How about all five at once + moonlight and stars?

The annual Night Ride is back, illuminating Portland’s eerie midnight streets with the city’s most extravagant moon-lit bike ride! The ride benefits the BTA’s efforts to open minds and roads to bicycling in the creation of healthy and sustainable communities.

On Saturday July 10th, bring your craziest costume, your helmet, and your bike equipped with front and rear lights to the Portland Train Station. The ride will begin at 9pm, but get your costume to the start line early to be in the running for fabulous prizes for the wackiest attire.

Get tired during the ride? Take a rest and belt out your favorite tunes in group karaoke, or break it down on the dance floor at the disco party! After finishing the 15 mile course, replenish those calories at an all-you-can-eat doughnut feast you’ll be sorry to miss!

Volunteer! Ride organizers need 130 volunteers throughout the course for a wide variety of positions.

All volunteers receive:
• A free Night Ride t-shirt
• A ticket into the Finish Line Party with all the doughnuts you can eat
• Most positions allow you to ride part or all of the ride for free

Your support ensures a successful and safe ride and helps raise awareness and funds for BTA. Sign up now and tell your friends!
