URGENT: Voice your demand for a bike-friendly Lombard

The Beaverton City Council is holding a public hearing on Monday, June 28, 2010 to review the Traffic Commission’s decision to reject the striping of bike lanes on one of Beaverton’s arterial streets. The hearing will be held at 6:30pm in the Forrest Soth Council Chamber at Beaverton City Hall, 4755 SW Griffith Drive, Beaverton, Oregon. We urge all in favor of the proposal to attend and share their views at the hearing.

The National Biking and Walking Study: 15 Years Later

The National Biking and Walking Study has released a 15 year Report. Encouraging statistics show that biking and walking trips are on the rise while traffic crashes involving bicyclists and pedestrians have significantly decreased.
