Rail-Volution: Building Livable Communities with Transit is a national conference that will be hosted by Portland this Fall. The conference aims to gather, connect, inspire, and educate those interested in integrating land use and transportation in the quest to create livable and sustainable communities.
The conference will be held this October 18th-21st. Rail-Volution emphasizes the need to keep the conference open to everyone passionate enough to attend and will be offering a limited number of scholarships and homestays to cover at least a portion of the registration, travel, and lodging costs of attending the conference. Preference will be given to students studying transportation and land use as well as individuals and organizations working to involve citizens in land use and transportation issues. They will be awarded based on demonstrated need.
