Join the BTA, Stumptown Printers, and Land Gallery for a party on Friday, August 27, 2010, 6-9 pm at Land, 3925 North Mississippi Ave.
Stumptown Printers Bike Poster project is a poster series designed to spotlight original bicycle art, raise funds for bicycle transportation initiatives and celebrate bike culture. Started in 2004, the poster series is a collaborative project involving many different print artists, using offset lithography and letterpress printing techniques.
Come to Friday’s art show opening to see the collection of both new and classic posters and take home some beautiful, affordable bike art benefiting the BTA.
And because any good party should have music and dancing, Portland’s own Greasy Chain String Band will be tearing it up in the Land parking lot with a ripsnortin’ square dance. If you haven’t tried it since middle school gym class, you’re long overdue for a ridiculously good time. The dance promises to be beginner friendly with the goal of making sure as many people as possible get to dance with our new director.
The event is free to attend, but we hope you leave with some beautiful bike art and a BTA membership!
