The City of Portland announced today that it has put two companies on the short list for the Portland Bike Share contract. Both Alta Bike Share and B-Cycle will advance to the oral interview round.

Alta Bicycle Share is an affiliate of the Portland-based Alta Planning + Design. Alta operates bike share programs in Washington, D.C. and Boston, and is close to launching the nation’s biggest bike share network in New York City.
B-Cycle operates bike share systems in 13 U.S. cities including Denver, Boulder, Houston, and Omaha.
