Bike Commute Challenge Photo of the Day: The Standard

Bikes mean business to The Standard! Team captain Carrie Hearne is proud to say that “The Standard is committed to supporting biking and those who bike in our company and in our community.” With over 100 employees signed up for the Bike Commute Challenge, this year’s participation rate for the Standard is 60% percent higher than in 2011.

How do they do it? The Standard’s accomplishments come from providing their employees with route planning workshops, legal clinics and hands on bike maintenance. They also have prize giveaways for new riders, long distance riders and 100% commute riders to encourage folks to keep on riding. Check out their newest rider Teri McNew holding the “I love to ride!” sign.

I live in a world of SOP’s or standard operating procedures. For your team, I’d call it: Standard Oregon Peddlers. “Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards.” Anthony Robbins. Your team raises the bar, for all of us.
