Wherever there are kids looking to ride safely, you will find them.
Wherever there is puddle in an unimproved roadway wanting to be ridden through, they’ll be there.
Wherever there is a right of way lesson just waiting to be taught, you will find…
The BTA’s Fall 2012 Walk+Bike Ambassadors!
You may recognize Joel and Sheilagh, who have been teaching with us for several years now! The new faces are Vince and Lale, our new Ambassadors, and Megan and Marquise, our new Assistant Ambassadors.
Keep an eye out for these fabulous educators as they teach our 10-lesson bike safety education program to 4th and 5th graders across Portland as part of the City’s Safe Routes to School Program.
This season we will teach our 50,000th student (you heard me correctly, 50,000th). Go team!

I have been trying to get hold of Vince Weeks, but no answer at the Oakland school email address. Now I know where he is. He had asked if Hucrest Elementary in Roseburg was interested in the 10-week bike safety course. I got approval from the principal, but have not been able to reach Vince since. Is anyone able to come down here to teach the course, or is there someone down here?
