Tomorrow is the 2005 Blueprint Ride, an opportunity to see the state of bicycling in Portland circa – you guessed it – 2005.
That’s the year in which the Bicycle Transportation Alliance released our Blueprint for Better Bicycling, a visionary list of projects that would transform our city. Many of those projects are complete or under way and others still need work.
We’ll visit these places on a 13 mile tour starting in inner N Portland and ending at the South Waterfront.
2005 Blueprint Ride
Ristretto Roasters, 3808 N Williams Avenue
Saturday, October 13th
10:00 am caffeinate, 10:30 am ride
A note about the route: This ride is not a loop. It concludes in South Waterfront, a roughly 3.5 mile ride from the start point. Those who wish to return to the startpoint will be given instructions. Those who wish to continue southward to celebrate the reopening of the Historic Arch Bridge between Oregon City and West Linn, may join an informal group to do so. We estimate that the ride will take between two and three hours.
See you there!
