Time hasn’t run out for 2012 but there are already two important dates you need to remember for 2013:
1) April 25th, 2013 – Annual Walk+Bike Meeting
We’re looking for all the problem solvers, people who want to make the world around them better, and members of the Walk+Bike Network!
We hope you’ll join us as we discuss how to make walking and biking easier, safer, and more accessible for youth and families. We will hear a report of last year’s goals, set statewide goals for the coming year, and enable our taskforces to make it all happen. Just like you, we believe that every kid deserves to walk and bike.
(And this year the Annual Walk+Bike Meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the Active Transportation Summit, which runs April 24th and 25th in Salem.)
When: April 25th, 9:30am to 12pm
Where: The Salem Conference Center
Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
2) June 21st-23rd, 2013 – Walk+Bike Summer Trainings
This is the perfect event for anyone looking to teach bicycle or pedestrian safety education to youth or adults in their community.
We’re partnering with Eugene Safe Routes to School and Commute Options to provide low cost training for Oregon parents, teachers, city employees, police officers, advocates, and community members covering youth and adult bike and pedestrian curricula and programming. More details and registration information will be available in March.
When: June 21-23, 2013
Where: Eugene (Specific location TBD)
