Check out the Futurescapes City Tour this October! We just heard about this opportunity from Thad Miller, assistant professor of urban civic ecology and sustainable communities at Portland State University.
The folks at PSU, together with the Center for Nanotechnology in Society at Arizona State University, are launching research in six cities across the country this fall. Starting October 3rd, join Thad and other PSU researchers in discovering nanotechnology and thinking about what it might mean for Portland.
The event will involve three sessions, centered around a guided walking tour of the city in which you’ll be asked to take pictures documenting the past, present, and future of Portland. You’ll hear from experts on transportation and urban planning, biofuels, solar energy, and other topics. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your ideas on how to best direct science and technology in the future development of Portland.
Sound like fun?
