Portland Rides In Style: Ready For Work

Guest blogger, Tanja Olson of Tanja Olson Images, has brought us some photos from the street. Once a month Tanja will be sharing her street scenes of Portland bike riding style.

I think we can all agree that Portlanders are very casual. However, not everyone is into jeans and flannel. I found several outstanding examples of well-dress bicyclists in business attire on the streets recently.

This is so over and beyond grunge. The pannier matches the bike. The scarf picks up the same blue. The helmet and pants match. And those boots–wow! Nice jacket, too. Take off the helmet and this lady rolls into the office in style.

Classic suit. Ready for some very serious work. (See, I’m from Portland. Only super serious people wear suits, right?)

This guy is a little more casual than the suit, but the jacket really spells business. Hey, I’m ready, let’s go.

The pink shoes are amazing! And how many women ride in a mini-skirt? You go, girl!

Red dress, check. Brown sweater, check. Flats, check. Ready and riding to work.
