Henry’s Back in the Band!

In the early morning hours of August 16th last year, 20-year old Lewis and Clark undergrad Henry Schmidt was hit by someone driving a car on SW Barbur. The driver fled the scene leaving Henry with two broken legs, a broken collarbone, a cut up face and hands, and serious internal injuries. It was bad news for many aspects of Henry’s life, including for his band, but he knew he was lucky to have survived the terrible crash.

Six months later, the driver in the hit-and-run has been caught and sentenced, and Henry’s band has him back!

Now Henry is helping push for safer conditions on SW Barbur.

Henry and his friends are generously throwing a concert and raffle to benefit the Bicycle Transportation Alliance on Saturday, February 8th at Velo Cult. Come join the fun and celebrate Henry’s ongoing recovery!
