Whether you have extra gear around the house, do some of your shopping at Fred Meyer, or simply want to enjoy a glass of wine, we have some new and innovative ways you can help keep build momentum for safe streets!

Below are four new partnerships, all of which are great ways to support better bicycling and the BTA:

1. Have some de-cluttering to do?

Your unwanted goods (just about anything goes – art, sporting goods, collectibles, books, electronics, antiques, and of course…bike stuff) can turn into a donation to the BTA. We have partnered with PDX Auction Wirk through eBay Giving Works to turn your stuff into donations to the BTA. Think Bike Swap, except we’ve made it even easier for you.

To make an in-kind donation now, contact Jon Gove of PDX Auction Wirk at pdxauctionwirk@gmail.com, or 208-720-3343, and he will coordinate the pick-up/ drop off of your items. When your item sells, you get a tax receipt, the BTA gets a donation, and you get the happy feeling of supporting the BTA while de-cluttering your life! Win-Win-Win.

2. Like to do your shopping online?

When you purchase an item through smile.amazon.com, look for products that are marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile Donation”. Then you can indicate the charity of your choice (we hope you pick us!), and .5% of the purchase price is donated to the organization!

3. Planning a visit to Fred Meyer? FM Community Reward

Fred Meyer recently implemented a new program called Community Rewards. When you link your Rewards Card to your favorite nonprofit (again – we hope you pick BTA!), Fred Meyer makes donations to local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations.

4. Looking to relax with a glass of wine? Casa Bruno Wine Logo - BTA CCC

Casa Bruno Distributors is distributing a bottle of wine benefiting both the Bicycle Transportation Alliance and the Community Cycling Center. For every bottle sold, Casa Bruno will donate .50 to each organization.
